Team Rabid Transit, powered by RSRacecraft had a successful weekend at Daytona International Speedway winning the Middle Weight Grand Prix Expert race. The team entered Sheridan Morias and the RSRacecraft built Yamaha R6 in multiple classes over the weekend. The high banks of the speedway were a new experience for the South African rider and one he thoroughly enjoyed and he is looking forward to the 200 in March. The team enlisted an experienced professional, Jake Zemke to help bring Shez up to speed quickly finishing out the weekend with the fastest lap.
Prior to heading to Daytona to compete in the final round of the CCS/ASRA races the team stopped at Jennings GP to shake down the newly prepared R6′s. In addition to Sheridan making some laps team riders Brandon Cretu and Renzo Ferreira were able to get some training in as well.
Team Rabid Transit, powered by RSRacecraft left Laguna Seca with a 3rd place Podium in race two on Sunday. Sheridan Morias was on pace and looking for the front all weekend.
Morias who was injured mid season returned to competition during the last MotoAmerica round at Utah Motorsports Campus. Sheridan did not achieve the results he wanted but felt he was steadily getting up to speed last round after being off of the track for for almost a month.
The MotoAmerica racing circuit will take a break and resume it’s final round at New Jersey Motorsports Park on September 8th.
